Englanders like to grapple in the summertime! With over 1000
competitors this tournament was huge. Thank you for coming out
to compete and to support your family and teammates who
competed. NAGA will be back in New England in early 2009. The
next tournaments in the Northeast is Battle at the Beach on
August 2 & 3, then the North American Grappling Championship on
November 8 & 9. Details for these tournaments can be found on
the front page of nagafighter.com.
Congratulations to Marco Alvan and Team
Link who took the overall team championship. Wai Kru took the
No-Gi Team Championship, Team Kimura took the Gi Team
Championship, and Gillett's MMA took the Kids Team Championship.
Congratulations to the Absolute No-Gi
Champion, Team Link's Roger Coelha.
You will notice that in the individual
results there is a number next to the competitor's name and
team. This number is the points that the competitor earned for
his team. For example, a competitor who placed first in an
advanced division earns 120 points for their team.
