On August 26, 2006 the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) returned to the mid-west for its 6th submission event in Chicago.
An astonishing 142 competition teams and 738 competitors from across the United States made the journey to Morton Field House to grapple in America's largest grappling tournament circuit. The event featured Samurai Swords for all 1st Place winners, along with a Championship Belt for all overall Absolute No-Gi Champion.
The NAGA awarded Team COMBAT DO the Midwest Top Team Award.

The NAGA wants to send a special thanks to Bob Schirmer and his team from Combat Do for helping run the event.
We also want to thank the 32 NAGA staff members who flew out from across the country. We also want to thank all the individuals and teams that supported the event. With all the positive feedback we had, the NAGA has already made plans to return to Chicago on Saturday, May 19th, 2007.
